How are the match ratings calculated?
Over 50 different metrics are taken account for when calculating match as of now. Match ratings ranged from 0.1 to 10.0 with 0.1 being the lowest rating, 6.0 being the default rating, and 10.0 being the highest rating. Metrics like goals, assists, big chances created, and penalties won are influental to a high rating. On the other hand, metrics such as penalties conceded, big chances missed, errors leading to goals, and red cards will cause a player's calculated rating to be lower. One thing to keep in mind is that the impact a metric has on the raing is not constant. For example, scoring a goal worth 0.02xG (outside the box shot) will boost a player's rating much higher than a goal worth 0.6xG (big chance). Overall team performance like the result of the match and if the team kept a clean sheet also impacts a player's match rating.
